Change in Assignment for New St. Lawrence County Cases

Tuesday, February 6, 2007

Please be advised that as a part of the ongoing county realignment in the U. S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of New York, beginning on Monday, February 19, 2007, all new cases in which the debtor resides in St. Lawrence County will be assigned to the Utica divisional office and Chief Bankruptcy Judge Stephen D. Gerling.

The 341(a) Meeting of Creditors will continue to be held in Watertown and new chapter 7 cases will continue to be assigned to trustees Christian H. Dribusch and Paul A. Levine. New chapter 12 and chapter 13 cases will be assigned to trustee Mark W. Swimelar.

As a result of this change, attorneys utilizing the CaseUpload option for the filing of new cases in which the Debtor resides in St. Lawrence County, must adjust their programs so that a "6" is used for the Office Code. By copy, software companies are being made aware of this change.

Please be further advised that at this time, the change in assignment is for new St. Lawrence County filings only. You will be notified in a separate mailing prior to the transfer of pending St. Lawrence County cases and you'll be provided with details on the reassignment and transfer of Franklin, Fulton and Montgomery County cases as this project progresses.

Thank you for your cooperation in this regard.
