Unless otherwise
specifically provided, the filing and service of a notice of appearance
in a case (as distinguished from the filing of a notice of appearance in
an adversary proceeding) containing a request for service of copies of
papers filed in the case will be deemed to be a request for only such papers
and notices which these Local Bankruptcy Rules or the Federal Rules of
Bankruptcy Procedure require to be served on any party requesting the same.
Comment
There is no basis
in the Bankruptcy Code or the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure for
a party to require service upon it of all papers served in a case. This
rule allows a party to avoid the unnecessary expense of service upon a
party not otherwise entitled to service. Service of papers in an adversary
proceeding is governed by FRBP 7005.
