Effective December 29, 1999, debtors will be required to pay a total of $200.00 in fees to the clerk to file a chapter 7 case and a total of $185.00 to file a chapter 13 case.

Since the fee to reopen and split a case are based on the current filing fee, the fees for these pleadings will change as well. The new fee to reopen a chapter 7 or 13 case will be $155.00 (the $15.00 trustee surcharge and $30.00 administrative fee are not applicable) and the new fee to split a joint chapter 7 or 13 will be $77.50 (one half of the current filing fee).
