Sunset of Amendments to Bankruptcy Code under the CARES Act

The amendments to the Bankruptcy Code under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security ("CARES") Act expired on March 27, 2022.  The expiration of the Act impacts CM/ECF, Official Forms, Local Forms, and Administrative Orders.

CM/ECF and Local Forms

The following two CM/ECF Dictionary Events and two local forms that correspond to lapsed amendments under the Act have been removed from CM/ECF and the court's website, respectively:

  • Notice of Mortgage Forbearance Event and Notice of Mortgage Forbearance Form
  • Notice of Mortgage Payment Change Form
  • Request for Mortgage Forbearance Conference Event

Administrative Orders

Chief Judge Davis has entered Administrative Orders 2022-01 and 2022-02 that each rescind an earlier CARES Act-related Administrative Order.
