Public Notice regarding COVID-19

Due to the circumstances created by COVID-19 and to protect the health and safety of court personnel and the public, the Clerk's Office has taken steps to minimize the public's need to personally visit the Clerk's Office. For example, many filings and payments can be made by mail, electronically and through use of a lock box that has been installed in the lobby of each courthouse. The public may use the lock box that has been installed to submit documents for filing. Filing fees, others fees and installment payments in the form of a certified check or money order payable to "Clerk, U.S. Bankruptcy Court" may also be placed in the lock box. Cash is not accepted in the lock box. The lock box is accessible during building hours.

We recommend that you CALL the Clerk's Office at the numbers set forth below BEFORE coming to the courthouse to see if one of the alternatives to a personal visit is available to you. If you must visit the Clerk's Office, the counter is open to the public Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Instructions for using the lock boxes are available here: Albany; Syracuse; Utica.
